How do I install this? I put it in the .themes directory, and I have the extension for user themes installed and enabled. Am I missing something?

User theme is for shell themes, this is gtk theme.
Btw choose the theme with gnome-tweak-tool(go to theme - gtk theme) or dconf-editor(org - gnome - desktop - interface - gtk-theme,write fullflat here).

I have just posted a screenshot of my desktop inspired by your theme. Its far from perfect as you will see. But his is as far as I can go to tweak that
tricky gnome panel thing to make it look like transparent with the fallback mode.

I am a bit lost actually.

Thank you.

i don't know where it could be the problem,i need time to verify (also the question of permits).
i keep your other question in my comment stack so i don't forget.
Have you considered the idea to use an alternative panel? for example tint2,is more easy to customize ;)

(there is also a link to the bug)
seems to be the same problem.

I like your theme very much. Hope that you will update it more quickly.

I use gnome fallback for 12.04. I wonder why checkboxes in firefox, for example, are invisible.
And can you show me how to change bookmark menu bg color in firefox ?

I customize it a bit via gtk.css.

Now I change to #f9c7be just to make it look like transparent in gnome-panel.css. Also because date and text in panel cannot be seen with the default black bg.

Thank you.

yep you're right,i need time :)
anyway firefox *try* to use gtk2 settings but not ever the result is satisfactory, finally(as is written in description) gtk2 part is a todo.
Ideal is a custom firefox theme.

For gnome fallback, honestly i just forgot that type of session when i port the theme in gtk3,so thanks for feedback.

I think I have found the problem regarding checkbox and radio buttons. I found out that the png files in Check-Radio when copied to
/usr/share/themes/full flat/gtk2.0/ have no permission to be read. Only root access. So either change permission OR copy your themes into /home/user/.themes additionally.

I hope I am right.

Thank you.

I love this theme. The colors are very gentle on the eyes for being a light theme. Very good job...
One question tho.. I'm tried looking in the config files but couldn't find how to change the color for selected items in the menus from orange like here [link] to some other, like blue.. I'm just starting with gtk so it's probably obvious :D

for color, open the file gtk.css in folder .themes/full flat/gtk-3.0/ go to fifth row and change the code of color atfer "selected_bg_color".
For example replace the row with this :
@define-color selected_bg_color #288BEB

I am really looking forward to the next version. I tested the theme for a while, and now I love it. :-))) ...and if I may express a little wish: The text of active and inactive items in the pull-down-menues could be a bit more distinguishable (inactive more greyed-out???). Otherwise awesome work!

devo dire che mi gusta molto! ma quello gnome fall back ?? se si coma hai fatto a rendere tutto il pannello trasparente.. a me se provo a renderlo trasparente la zona sotto la system tray e sotto il menu mi resta delle sfondo predefinito..

bel lavoro ancora!
